*** I DO NOT HAVE PRIVATE PICS. ***
Thanks for all of the unsolicited private pic messages. Just remember... when you volunteer to show me your cock on the internet it doesn't mean that you get automatic pics of mine. Or any respect. =)

In addition to trying to be more watchful about what I am putting into my body, I have taken to hiking pretty much every day. I will start reincorporating the gym into my life in a week or 2. (Though I just broke-up with 24-hour fitness, so I am a free-agent. Let me know what gym I need to check out.)
I appreciate the fact that there are guys out there who find my body hot the way it is. I have been using that as an excuse not to change it, but the truth is... I hate my body. I don't find this build sexy. My stomach disgusts me and it is time to be more healthy, more active and more focused on bringing the things into my life that I want and deserve.
I saw Mamma Mia and while it isn't the best movie I've ever seen, it was cute and fun and the Abba bug has infected my brain. (OMG... some of these videos are ABBA in Japan. It's like chocolate and peanut butter!)
I loaded all the videos in the same order that the songs appear on the greatest hits album.

I got a chance to spend the day in Newport, RI and sail on Avanti- the practice boat for PUMA's Ocean Racing team. (I got the boat up to 18.4 knots!)
You can go to pumaoceanracing.com for more info about the race and to see a video of the new boat Il Mostro being christened by Salma Hayek.
From WIKI: Volvo Ocean Race (formerly the Whitbread Round the World Race) is a yacht race around the world, held every four years - until upcoming edition which will start after just a 3-year break. It's named after its sponsor, Volvo.
Though the route is changed to accommodate various ports of call, the race typically departs Europe in September. The general route runs south through the Atlantic Ocean, around the tip of Africa, and then around the Southern Ocean. The worst weather conditions are usually encountered in this leg, where waves sometimes top 100 feet (30 m) and winds can reach 60 knots (110 km/h). Competitors eventually round Cape Horn and turn back into the Atlantic for the trip back to England. The route generally covers in excess of 28,000 statute miles (45,000 km) over open ocean.
In 1972 England's Whitbread company and the British Royal Naval Sailing Association agreed to sponsor a globe-circling regatta, which would be called the "Whitbread Round the World Race". The race has been greatly modified in the ensuing thirty odd years, but remains true to its original goal: A test of will, courage and skill against the best (or more accurately, worst) nature has to offer.
Volvo Ocean Race is the ultimate sailing adventure.

WHAT HAPPENED? WHAT'S HAPPENING? (7/7/08) [View | Hide]
After 3 years and nearly 620,000 page views, I am reorganizing my flickr stream and temporarily took it off-line. (I currently have over 35,000 images to manage.)
This means that a lot of the links in my blog are now broken and you will not be able to see the images.
For all 4 of you who might actually care... I'm sorry. =)
On the bright side- I hope to be streamlining and improving the navigation (better sets/collections, less crap to sort through) and making it a much nicer experience, PLUS releasing never-before-seen images from the CDX archives, as well as new stuff.
Look for some archives stuff as soon as this upcoming weekend!
uh... thanks for all the chipper "happy gay pride!" messages and shit.
I guess I am just the Ebenezer Scrooge of your faggot Christmas.
I think the notion of gay pride is silly- and frankly I don't find the fact that men like men or women like women worthy of a fucking parade.
And don't even get me started on how far back it sets gay people when every closet queen with a pleather fetish decides to bust out their leopard-print thong on pride-weekend and get filmed for the local news.
So tells ya what- happy gay pride, tra-la-la... I'm gonna stay home.
From the photographer astar328: "If my piggies were breakdancers, this would be five minutes before their show. They are just trying to save the community center!"
ZOMG. Let's remake this shot-for-shot with drag queens! (Or ARE those drag queens?)
Speaking of drag queens... you no doubt recognize this from that big gay drag queen movie?
HOLY SHIT! Dolly Parton and Amy Sedaris in the same video? GAYMANIA!
I totally want this attitude.
Hercules & The Love Affair (Posted by Sea_n) (6/23/08) [View | Hide]
Its a fact: I can't get enough of Hercules & the Love Affair's new album that comes out domestically tomorrow morning. For those of you not familiar with this group, check out this review I wrote recently:
"For many, disco is dead, but can it be brought back to life? Hercules & the Love Affair's excellent debut album for DFA aims to do just that. Hercules is the brainchild of New York dj Andrew Butler, who has been throwing disco parties in the city for years. Made using mostly vintage synths, Butler has taken dance music sounds from decades past and dragged them in to the future. After sharing an early version of the single "Blind" (featuring Antony of Antony & the Johnsons) with Tim Goldsworthy (DFA), he was asked to complete a full album for the label. Butler set out to form a band and enlisted the help of several vocalist friends. Nomi Ruiz, Kim Ann Foxsom and Antony all add distinct vocals to each of HALA's mid-90's house and neo-disco grooves. Undoubtedly, many of these songs will become club hits, but this album is much more than a mere collections of dance songs. It is a celebration of dance, art and music, harking back to what started disco at its beginnings. This is an amazing album and sure to be on many 'best of' lists come years end."
This is their new video for the song "You Belong" featuring the lovely Nomi on vocals. I'm reminded of mid-90's era videos here...what do you think?
Here's the whole episode condensed down to a few minutes- meanwhile this is old, old, old-school FOL (look for Molly Ringwald and Helen Hunt.) And dig that themesong sung in part by Alan Thicke. Ahhh- those were the days. =)
DAMON & NAOMI ON TOUR (posted by S_ean) (6/15/08) [View | Hide]
The second East Coast stop by these two ex-Galaxie 500 members was, much to my excitement, in my town of Portland, Maine. They are touring in support of their latest album "Within These Walls. This tour they are traveling with cellist Helena Espvall (Valerie Project, Espers) and Masaki Batoh (from Japanese band Ghost), who are collaborating on a new album for Drag City (out soon). Some of their more expansive and beautiful songs come from their collaboration with Ghost's electric guitarist, Michio Kurihara. Although Kurihara's guitar work was noticeably absent, their tour mates did join them for several amazing songs during the second half of the set.
One of my first posts for the SISSY FUSS will be my interview with Naomi Yang. Make sure you check it out and go see them on tour when they come to your city! Tour dates below:

CHECK THIS OUT... J'ARCENEAUX (6/14/08) [View | Hide]
So you guys saw the portraits I did of my buddy Jonathan, right?
Well he is an awesome singer, however sometimes I feel like his music has a tendency to hide his voice rather than show it off. TOTALLY JUST MY UNPROFESSIONAL OPINION!
However I challenged him to do something acoustic. I'm loving it and he let me share it with you.
Here it is:
Want to know more about Jonathan? Check him out on the Facebook.
FROM THE CDX ARCHIVES: ICONS OF THEMSELVES (6/14/08) [View | Hide]
Skibunny is a duo (Mark and Tanya) from Belfast (UK) who started making their own music after their party (of the same name) started taking off. I came across their music a few days ago and fell in love. Perfect lo-fi pop songs. Hope you enjoy them too.
Listen... I've gotten your messages, I hear what you are saying... this blog pretty much SUCKS right now. So what gives? Partly I am overextended (as always) and partly I am saving some energy because I am starting something new! Yes! New!
I don't have an official launch date- but I am pleased to announce that I am starting a new blog that I hope will read more like a lifestyle magazine (fashion, art, music, photography, writing - with a decidedly racier queer edge) than a personal scrapbook.
Since the new blog is less about me and my personal viewpoints, I am enlisting the help of some close friends and a select group of regular contributors.
What are we looking for? Original writing, videos, photos, recipes - trying to keep it very eclectic. There just has to be some connection to queer life. You don't even have to be a gay! Yes- I said A GAY.
OMG. My friend got a random phone call the other day from someone looking to set-up a concert in his area. Guess who it was. Guess!
Jessica "PUSSY IS MAGIC" Delfino!
OMG, I know, right? If you've seen this post before- then feel free to skip ahead.
You all know I love, love, love Leslie Hall... but she is kinda getting too mainstream for me. Specifically meaning that my least cool friends are all into her now. In fact I am pretty sure my one friend's mom just bought a Leslie CD.
So I am officially announcing Jessy Delfino as the NEXT BIG THING. A stand-up comic, (really) amateur filmmaker and rapper/singer who performs works based mainly on her "sandwich", and by "sandwich" I mean pussy, and by pussy I do NOT mean her pet. Though I think she does discuss petting.
yeah i had a similar reaction when hot chip came up first in your playlist. they're fucking neat. you're swell too. but why on earth are you moving to los angeles?! parts of you will die you didn't know you had.
