some suggestions

Posted By: DCpolarbear on: 5/24/09 7:50 PM

I adore Pedro Almodovar, who almost always has some gay characters in his films; my favorites are 'All About My Mother' and 'Law of Desire.'

'Angels in America' is incredible and I love it.

'Before Night Falls' is a fabulous film about gay Cuban life and writer Reinaldo Arenas.

There are some more, like 'Far From Heaven' 'Latter Days' but my brain hurts so im forgetting. always looking for more suggestions though! anyone know where i could find the cremaster cycle in the dc area?

Got. Brian Cox does excellent in his role. Very gritty movie.

I remember tricking my mom into renting it when I was 12 and going to sleep that night completely in the dark, only understanding minimal pieces of the film. None of the subtext. I've watched it since, and its like a light bulb cliked on. Some dark and heavy subject matter... great film.
