Heroes You'd "Do"

Posted By: Power_action on: 11/19/09 2:30 AM

Ever have a crush on a comic book or cartoon character? Who is it and why did you feel a crush?

For me:

Mr. Fantastic (Fantastic Four)

He's really smart and just imagine the possibilities his super powers offer in bed! Sadly, he's also quite cold and obsessed with his experiments. I don't imagine him as the type who'd be passionate in bed, but he gets extra points for the cool white side burns.

Capt. Joseph Korso (Titan A.E.)

I like his chin scruff, his chiseled jaw, & his tough attitude. Too bad he turned out to be prick in the movie.

but no matter what story line those boys alaways make me smile

before I came out to myself I remember specifically staring at and then finding my mind wandering to thoughts about cyclops in his cheetah print boxers around the onslaught arc era, aaaand banshee when he was leader of generation x and he was outside on the lawn in these tight little boxer briefs

The Warlord seemed to be Mike Grell's final word on beefcake; always loved him. As for my comic crushes, when I was younger it was totally Impulse and then Dane (from the Invisibles). Nowadays, most any of the guys Gilbert Hernandez or Vasilis Lolos come up with. Or the various personalities of the MPD Psycho - so many men to choose from in one hot package.

Is anyone else reading this series? The art is awesome an the story is pretty twisted. Plus, there is some gay and gender bending stuff.

Watchmen

Posted By: EastVill-Kit on: 5/24/09 4:22 AM

Ok, now that the posters are everywhere and the ads are on tv, I am actually really looking forward to the Watchmen movie, even if that graphic novel is so dense and dark as to be impossible to bring to the screen.

I wonder if Sandman will ever be optioned?

I'm so excited for watchmen also, I'm just making sure not to get my hopes up too high...so if it's great I'll be surprised and equally elated.

"I wonder if Sandman will ever be optioned?"

An old staple of late night bar conversation was to cast that theoretical production. We had to just quit on some characters, because you can only hear someone say "Death is Siouxsie Sioux back in the day" so many times.

     Hey,

i think a Death movie is actually "in the works"

http://www.neilgaiman.com/p/FAQs/Sandman

Is the Death movie really in development?

While working today I noticed in Variety magazine an article by Pandora stating that a movie, Death: The High Cost of Living was in development. Is this true?

Neil: Yup.

Watchmen was brilliant ... very true to Moore/Gibbons Watchmen, i think
