How often(per week) do you get a cardio workout?

for me at least 30 mins of cardio 3 times a week. If i'm trying to loose weight then I bump it up to every day.

Depends. I do 60 minutes of treadmill running (5 min. warmup and cooldown at 4 mph, and 50 minutes of sustained running at 7 mph) roughly 4X weekly, in addition to karate classes 3-5X weekly.

Unless my schedule is overbooked as usual ... in which case the only exercise my heart gets is resistance training against the cholesterol accumulating in my arteries. :)

I'm trying to lose weight so I do daily cardio on the elliptical from 30-45 min. I tried the treadmill but it hurt my knees and ankle.

if your knees and ankles are bothering you, i recommend a stationary bike. very easy on the knees and ankles.

Urm I would recommend running outside over treadmills anytime, its much more demanding on the body and more fun!

Where I live is very hilly and I am now in a running club that meets at the top of the largest so you have to do one of the approaches to the hill if you want to go home!

I have lost over a stone (about 18 lbs)in the last 11 months by running 3-4x a week. Start easy say 2-3 miles (3-5k) and build up slowly . better yet join a running club near you, the organisation and support is very helpful. For this I would recommend a established competing club since they will do things properly...

I now run about 20-30 miles a week and compete regularly in both road and xcountry races.

Also took up Bikram Yoga the last few months since its complementary to running in many ways, a good stretch and even good for the skin!

A little help, please!

Posted By: Tallguy87 on: 10/22/09 7:32 PM

Hey guys. I'm in a bit of a predicament; I've been working out since the end of April, up until now, five times per week, and my workout includes chest press, chest fly, lat pull-down, lunges, squats, ab crunch and oblique crunches (phew that's alot!) all in four sets of twenty five reps of each. Now, I know that it takes determination, motivation, and patience to get your desired results, but I find myself here lately losing motivation, and I've caught myself thinking about including diet pills in my workout plan, which normally, I am totally against them! What can I do guys? I need help!

Help me please.

I'm having a hell of a time getting rid of the fat on my mid section. Im 6ft 169 and pretty muscular but I just have this layer of fat over my abs and on the lower portion of my back, and that's basically it for my body fat. Can anyone give recommendations as to how I can rid of that? it would be greatly appreciated guys
