Drag Me To Hell

Posted By: R_SquaRed85 on: 11/12/09 11:26 PM

who saw it? who liked it? who hated it?

i've seen it and thought it was pretty good. i like the fact that while everyone else seems to be doing remakes as major motion pictures, Raimi went with a clever new idea!

I loved it. I usually hate Raimi movies, and while I had complaints with this one, it was definitely better than anything he's done before and it had scares, awesome laughs, and a decent story. I think getting rid of some of the 'old-school' Raimi touches would have made it really amazing.

yeah, the horror movie remake is definitely in season.
i LOOOOOVED drag me to hell because it reminded me so much of old-fashioned horror movies. i mean, a gypsy curse? those stopped being scary a looooong time ago, and raimi made it refreshing again.
still, not forgiving him for spiderman.

'Ravenous' is a good one, about cannibals in the pioneering era. One of my faves.
'Audition' is another good one, it's like the Japanese Saw, before Saw was Saw.
'Darkness' is pretty creepy, not the most popular movie, but I like it. :D

Has anyone read the novel "World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War" by Max Brooks? Supposedly an interesting read, think it's worth the read?
