Umm, well I have too many artists I dig to pick just three albums.
Heres a few songs I'm into right now: Bloc Party - "Your visits are getting shorter" Brazilian Girls - "Good Time" Friendly Fires - "Strobe" Late of the Pier - "Random Firl" ...these are probably more Alternative But I'm sure Indie fans would enjoy them. |

i'm in the process of catching up with a bunch of stuff. 2008 has been pretty awesome so far.
lately, i've been enjoying the new ladytron, the new M83, cut copy, and kelley polar. i've been digging the goldfrapp album since it leaked. and the new magnetic fields gets a regular spin every week (i love "courtesans"). i got that frightened rabbit album from emusic and i gave it a couple listens. i still need to listen to it a few more times. |

Just saw The Breeders at Slim's in San Francisco last night. Amazing how long this band has been around and yet still so cool to hear them play their old stuff. They did not play "Hellbound" much to my disappointment and no encore either. Kim Deal rocks. | |

ok - so, i'm a big fan
& we're both from the same birth town - Dayton, Ohio where I used to bump into Kim here and there at one of my favorite bars (now gone) i was freakishly a fan of the Pixies whom I first heard on my French roommate's compilation cd in our dorm room at the YMCA in Nairobi - strange eh? the song was Debaser - and a fine song it is. |

The Breeders were the very first concert I ever went to, back in '92 at Metro in Chicago, one of the best shows I've ever been to. I just saw them last year in New Haven, and they're still so great.
I know Kim Deal was married long ago (on the first two Pixies albums she is listed as Mrs. John Murphy), and I think Kelley was dating a guy when she got caught getting that heroin shipment. They've been around. It wouldn't surprise me if they date women, too, though. |
