Liquor du Jour

Posted By: DBCooper on: 12/1/08 9:14 PM

The LDJ is: Calvados
Good stuff served on the rocks or in a cocktail.

Try "The Normandy"
- in a shaker muddle a few fresh cranberries, a slice of apple, a little lemon juice, a spoonful of brown sugar, and a splash of simple syrup.
-add a generous serving of Calvados and cracked ice
-shake and strain into a old-fashioned glass filled with crack ice, and garnish with an apple slice.

Sante!

Black Forest

Directions:
Shake ingredients and then pour into a glass. Add a bit more cream and a cherry on top to serve.

Sehr wunderbar!

The Codpiece

I like making drinks with Kirschwasser. My latest concoction: The Codpiece.

-Pour equal amounts of Kirschwasser and berry-flavored Vodka in a shaker with crushed ice. Add splash if Creme de Cassis and Cranberry Juice. Shake, strain, and serve with a twist of lemon. Cheers

Can you think of another way to use Kirschwasser?
