The Human Rights Campaign represents a grassroots force of more than 700,000 members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization.
Well first of all, awareness is a main key in the battle. I hate to sound cliche, but invite your friends to the group. The equality sign is kind of like a motivation for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community to come together and help ourselves get the medical, workplace, privacy, family, and marriage rights that we deserve.
Secondly, check out the Human Rights Campaign website and learn about what is going on during this time.
And if you want to get super involved, volunteer or attempt to become a part of the steering committee (takes time and work, but can definitely be achieved). If you want details on volunteering, send me a message. I'll hook you up.

Why should we care? Well, I don't know, maybe because these are our Congressman who plays a BIG role in making reasonable decision for our nation. The less of these asswipes, the better chance we have at really improving out society.
I think this is a topic we need to be concern about. Everyone should read and be aware about this planned genocide in the making and seriously post this on their Facebook to spread the word to our allies, especially if you work in government or are affiliated with your local commissioners, city officials etc. I certainly have done so.
