Say Hello

Your Gay Uncle

Looking for someone you can really talk to?
Someone who listens to what you've got to say?
A man with a lifetime of experience to share.
Then hey, I'm your guy.

Photobucket

I'm here a lot, but sometimes I'm asleep at the wheel..
Don't think I'm ignoring you..
Email works for me, I will get back to you!

Photobucket

Thanks for visiting my page y'all!
I appreciate all the comments!
Would you want your Mama to see yours?? 8-)

Recently I was asked why I sent a friend invite. So here it is. I am a guy whose generation has been hard hit by AIDS. I've lost dozens upon dozens of friends, beginning with Jack Custer, in 1981. A lot of the people that I invite to be dlist friends were not even born then. I lost the love of my life in 1998, Tony Duane Newlin. It's been eleven years and I'm still devistated by the loss.

What I am doing with my page is trying to present a positive image of my generation, to as many people as possible. To represent as best I can, the fact that I am one of a minority of gay guys my age who have made
it, and is still around to tell the story

I send out tons of friend requests. I make a point of reading a persons profile before sending a friend request. I also try my best to thank all who accept my invite. I generally avoid sending requests to guys who leave comments to others with porn attachments. It's not that I have a thing against porn.. I've got my own, I just don't need to see yours plastered on my page. I look at my page as being a public place, I want to be proud of what's here.

A LOT of guys open their private pics to me.
I have NEVER asked one to do so, yet they are offended if I do not recipricate.
Let me make this clear.

I DO NOT HAVE NAKED IMAGES OF MYSELF IN MY PRIVATE PICS!

If you choose to open your private pics to me fine, I'll probably take a peek, but it's not the real thing.
You want me to be impressed by your manhood, come put them cute buns on my bed in the flesh then I'll be impressed.
At least by the effort it takes to get here.

To those who wonder, I am NOT really 99.. but then again are you REALLY 18??

Right now I've got 4500 dlist friends. Some might think I'm being a friend list whore. Think of it this way, dlist has a half million members now.. to me I'm being selective!

A positive role model.

Life may not always be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance!

"God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away"
(Revelations 21:4)

The ugly and the stupid have the best of it in this world.
If they know nothing of victory,
they are at least spared the knowledge of defeat.
Oscar Wilde

You'll never find peace of mind until you listen to your heart. George Michael

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. -- Proverbs 3:27

Republicans DO NOT care about The United States.
They only care about their own power.
They crave and obsess over power

I've Learned

I've learned that you can not make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
And it's not the end of the world.

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts.

I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better know something.

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the best you can do.

I've learned that it's not what happens to people.
It's what they do about it.

I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.

I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.

I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done, when it needs to be done
regardless of the consequences.

I've learned that there are people who love you dearly,
but just don't know how to show it.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that true friendship continues to grow even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to,
doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that just because two people argue, doesn't mean that they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, doesn't mean they do.

I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.

I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.

I've learned that no matter the consequences,
those who are honest with themselves get farther in life.

I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours
by people who don't even know you.

I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.

I've learned that writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains.

I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.

I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line
between being nice and not hurting people's feelings,
and standing up for what you believe.

I've learned to love and be loved.

I've learned.

Thanks C. My Halloween was okay. I only had like 7 kids stop by. But
then it started raining pretty hard...so that might have had something
to do with it. I hope you enjoyed your Halloween as well.
