aboutdaniellaub
Take responsibility for your life.
I am a student of biopsychology, colloquially known as the biology of behavior. However, my life does not revolve around school nor work. Rather, I qualify my life by my hobbies, my passions, and living a life of leisure. My passions are helping people, learning, and teaching. My hobbies are volleyball, astronomy, cooking, sharing and finding (new) music, reading, and human medicine. Leisure results from doing these activities. Enjoying life is more important to me than working for a paycheck, and I think that my happiness is not contingent upon material possession, nor condition. I grew up in a wealthy household, and I live a life of priviledge. I am grateful to my parents and family for working as hard as they did (and do) to provide me with the enumerable opportunities and advantages I have and have had. Humbled by the realization that my family has sacrificed hundreds of thousands of dollars and hours for me, I feel endebted and inspired to give back. I am inspired and empowered to give humanity what my family has given me: opportunity. I plan to join the Peace Corps before applying to medical school so that I may give people the chance to live better lives.
I was listening to this talk about doing good work, and one of the panelists said, quoting Oscar Wilde: "Inactivity is hell for the man who does not know leisure."

Yeah 1984 really is one of my favorites. Thank you. Yeah, I'm always interested in intellectual stuff, minus the pretentiousness that generally comes with it. But doing art you meet lots of people like that oh well.
So you're 'into' philosophy yeah??
A Dlist intellectual?? can it be? haha
