A Wild Reprise
I'm a recent transfer to The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. That said, I'm brand new to the area and am looking for friends. I'm gonna have to spend my time somehow...With people is generally better than without. Before Evergreen, I spent two years at American University in Washington, DC.
I'm from the Pacific Northwest, however; my home is Seattle (read: suburbs of...Puyallup, anyone?) and I can't think of anywhere more astounding in its absolute glory. You've never seen a majestic morning until you've watched the moon-driven purple on mountain snow melt away to gold as the sun traces glaciers. You've never smelt the air until you've wandered a wooded trail and felt grace glitter through you. There's something about the Northwest that cannot be forgotten. I'm glad to be home.
I love movies more than you'll probably ever understand. I believe they have the ultimate power and force to change the way the world works, and that thought gets me so excited. I want to make movies, and I want to use them as forums and motivators, to get discussions rolling and to multiply the goodness in mankind. That, and every now and then blow something up; everyone loves that.
Recently I've also really considered getting a master's in education after I finish my undergrad work. I want to change the world, and being able to speak directly to a disenfranchised American youth excites me. Being able to inspire hope, be it socially through teaching or filmmaking or writing, or politically, is the core and cement of my values and dreams. Regardless of what I do or how I do it, I just want to make the world better. As Harvey Milk said, "people in worse situations than you have come back strong - have been against worse odds and won - only because they felt that somewhere there was some reason for living - they are not sure, but they had hope".
I enjoy listening to music, reading, writing, riding my bike or going on runs, hiking, activism, and good conversations over coffee.

Oh that sounds really fun. i love ultimate frisbee and frisbee golf. I worked out and went for a really nice run. it was really good running weather. I just hope it stays this way for my race on saturday.

yeah, its a nice place. thankfully I can see mt. rainier from the room i'll be in next year...i've been in the basement for two years and while I like the organic feeling as i have trees and grass right outside my window...i'd appreciate a view too.
today is amazing though....70 and light breeze....couldn't ask for better weather.

I'm from LA area but I'm up here at UPS for school (music performance/math). Aside from studying here...I do everything I can to contribute to Tacoma's rampant crime and violence. Hahahhah.
