I prefer being outdoors to indoors when the weather is nice. I'm interested in people and societies and culture. That includes art, visual and performance. Dance might be my favorite. In my secret fantasy, I'm a dancer. I'm interested in activist strategies that work outside the boundaries of traditional structures in an effort to arrive at alternative worlds and ways of being. i've read that the master's tools will never dismantle the master's house, and i'm inclined to believe it's the truth. I place high value on working hard and having routines that include regular nutrition and exercise. I love exploring food and cooking. Cute boys are great, and wonderful minds make cute boys a lot more enjoyable. I'm always willing to engage in meaningful conversation and to find ways to connect across (sometimes formidable) differences. I'm pretty open to a lot of things, and I like to explore other peoples' interests with them.

I like movies, but I have a really hard time watching them alone. I almost ALWAYS quit before the end. so maybe i don't like movies? no, i do, but i just need a partner to help keep me engaged. or distracted. Movie watching buddies welcome :)

Literature I Like:

Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery continues to rock my world on a near-daily basis. Highly recommended.

TV Shows I Like:

Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, The Golden Girls, Strangers with Candy, Queer as Folk. ANTM. I have a shameful addiction to Bravo's Real Housewives. I always find myself relating situations in my and other peoples' lives to the housewives, saying things like "OMG this is EXACTLY like what happened to Sheree..." It's embarassing. Just got rid of my TV though, so i think things can only improve.

keepin' it retro/spective from the get-go

I'm here because i wasn't satisfied as a contradictory being already juggling several online personas, each tailored appropriately to its respective venue. I dont think the world was yet aware of how much of a slutty, narcissistic, attention-whore i sometimes can be, so i really wanted to get that out there. I also didn't have enough walls to check daily, so adding another seemed good here, too. perhaps most importantly, my interaction with cute guys online wasn't already stilted and annoying enough. i yearned to send short, impersonal emails back and forth, ad infinitum.

Even though i think this is all a little bit silly, it's also kinda nice that a place exists in which a boy can post a picture of himself standing underwear-clad in front of a mirror without causing any eyebrows to be raised. Instead of a 'wait, what?' reaction, here it's more of an 'Oh, yeah, ok, of course this guy is using his computer to take a picture of himself slithering head first over his bed onto the ground whilst clutching a tattered teddy bear to his chest. cool cool cool cool.' i'm comforted knowing that should i ever find myself mostly naked, camera-in-hand, (and i routinely do) there exists an eager audience ready to receive any pictures that might result.

I do enjoy (some) people and i'm often looking to be distracted from the things i find occupying my days. Drop a line if after reading this (people do read these, right?) you find your previously flaccid interest has been raised. or it twitched or y'know, whatever.
