Music I Like:

Classic Rock, Punk, '80s Alternative, Classical, Opera, Blues, Mariachi, Jazz, Reggae, Ragtime, Bluegrass, traditional folk music (from anywhere), Latin Pop, Bhangra... My record, cassette and CD collection includes just about every kind of music possible from throughout the world.

Films I Like:

As far as movies go, I pay more attention to what's listed in 'Fangoria' than 'Entertainment Weekly.' In most cases, as far as I'm concerned even a bad horror movie is still better than a good 'chick flick.' LOL! After all, sometimes after a long day at work, you really just want to see a mutant monster, alien nightmare, or escaped psychopath chase stuck-up cheerleaders through the woods -- and who doesn't love seeing that? (except stuck-up cheerleaders, of course)

Literature I Like:

Anything by H.P. Lovecraft, Ambrose Bierce, essentially any of the great masters of horror. Some of the modern horror writers, too, like Anne Rice, as long as there's a story, a lesson, and not just a gross-out. C.J. Cherryh, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, and a variety of other Fantasy/Science Fiction authors who don't just tell stories but also make one think. Have been moved and/or inspired by the works of E.M. Forster, George Sand, R.J. Rao, Isak Dineson, Dorothy Parker. The Raj Quartet by Paul Scott affected me deeply.

TV Shows I Like:

The Simpsons, Two And a Half Men, Boston Legal, Rick Mercer Report, Nova, Masterpiece Theatre, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Red Green Show

Hey, at least I use my own photo.

Looking to meet some decent guys for friendship, maybe more if we 'click.' I'm a pretty stable, grounded person (have a job, have my own house, no addiction problems, etc., etc.) with a wide variety of interests. I can be at an antique sale or museum one day and attending a rodeo or hockey game the next. I like to stay young at heart and, to a certain extent, refuse to grow up.

I also have a pretty dry, sarcastic sense of humor, and try not to take anything too seriously.
